Dubai British School Admissions
We know that choosing your child’s school is one of the most challenging decisions a parent has to make and therefore want to help in any way we can.

How to Join our British International School in Dubai
Our admissions policy has been written to ensure that the school is following fair and appropriate procedures regarding the selection of children. It sets out the requirements for admissions in-line with KHDA regulations. Our admissions process has been designed to ensure that all families experience a seamless experience to join our school.
STEP 1 Submit your application
To submit your child’s application please click here to be taken to our enquiry page. This step will require you to provide some information about your family - our admissions team will then contact you to assist you further.

STEP 2 Meet and tour
We are delighted to be able to offer school tours Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and every Sunday morning.
If you would like to book a school tour, please get in contact and we will happily arrange this for you and your family. Our admissions team will book and confirm your visit over the phone after you have submitted your enquiry online. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to The Aquila School soon!
STEP 3 Securing your child’s place
STEP 4 Starting school
This includes:
- Passport copy for child, mother and father
- Visa copy for child, mother and father
- Emirates ID copies (front and back) for child, mother and father
- Vaccination record for child
- Transfer certificate from previous school (attestation required from some countries)
- Internal school forms (shared by our registrar upon offer acceptance)
Placement of our pupils in their new class is carried out by our teachers and senior team, and for pupils joining us at the start of the academic year you will be invited into school before the term begins to meet us and to find out about the day-to-day running of our school.
In order to allow a smooth transition into our school, our team will advise you and your family about your anticipated start date, once all required documents and payment have been received.

At The Aquila School, we recognise that families and friends are the best ambassadors for our unique style of learning and community-minded environment.
To support this, we are rewarding all enrolled families with an extra AED1000/- off your child’s tuition fees if you refer a friend whose child joins our school.
Is my child joining the right year group?
Using the information below, alongside your child’s most recent school report, we will make sure that there is no confusion over which is the right year group for them, whether you are moving from another school in Dubai or from out of the Emirate.

Your child should turn 4 years old by the end of the FS1 school year (31st August)

Your child should turn 8 years old by the end of the Year 3 school year (31st August) -

Year 3 and above
Based on last class attended (transfer certificate from the previous school)
*If children are coming from overseas, with an academic year ending in December, admissions will be based on their age as per the British system, or the year they have completed in the origin country.
