IB Diploma Programme
The IBDP is a challenging and rigorous programme, but it is also very rewarding. Pupils who complete the IBDP are well-prepared for success in university and in the workplace.

Academic Subjects and Components of the IBDP
The IBDP consists of six academic subjects, three core components, including an extended essay. The academic subjects are chosen from the following six groups:
- Group 1: Languages and Literature
- Group 2: Language Acquisition
- Group 3: Individuals and Societies
- Group 4: Sciences
- Group 5: Mathematics
- Group 6: The Arts

To study the IBDP, pupils must have at least 8 GCSEs at Grade 7 / Grade A.
This must include English, mathematics, two sciences, an additional language
and a GCSE Grade 7/A for any* HL course and a GCSE Grade 6/B for any SL course.
(*HL & A&A mathematics, and any HL science requires Grade 8/A*)
