At The Aquila School we believe strongly in developing pupils that are empathetic and compassionate human beings. This is why this year our school has partnered with Dubai Cares and their ‘Adopt a School’ initiative.
This means that our school community will come together to raise money to build a school in Nepal. This new school will help to raise adult literacy rates and provide a safe place for primary children to learn.
This is what our principal Wayne Howsen, had to say about the school’s involvement in the project. “We are pleased partner with Dubai Cares to support its Adopt a School programme. Since we are passionate about education, we hope that we can extend our mission to ensure safe, happy and amazing learning beyond our own school community. Being part of this initiative means that our pupils understand the importance of charity, and also bring our community together to help bring education to those children and adults in need,” he said.
There will be numerous opportunities, throughout the first term, for our community to get involved in raising money for this cause.
