Scholarship Categories

For the Relentless Achievers
We are looking for students whose dedication and drive redefine the meaning of excellence. High academic achievers who persevere in their goals.
Eligibility: Year 10
Criteria:
- Academically strong - evidenced in a range of assessments both internal and standardised
- Report card showing excellence in attitude to learning and academic outcomes across a wide range of subjects
- Written statement from pupil highlighting academic achievements so far and future aspirations
- Letter of recommendation from former school leader
For the Global Trailblazers
We are looking for students who embrace the world as their stage and thrive through cultural connections and global opportunities. For those who see the world as their classroom.
Eligibility: Year 10 & 12
Criteria:
- Evidence of positive action taken within the school community (Year 10) / Evidence of positive action taken within their local / global community (Year 12) - participates in a range of ECAs as well as school events
- Role model to their peers in terms of behavior and attitude to learning (and evidenced in termly reports)
- Special consideration will be given to those who are considered outstanding in a particular skill or field or sport


For the Innovators of Tomorrow
We are looking for students who have ambition, purpose, and bold ideas. For those ready to lead, innovate, and build a brighter tomorrow.
Eligibility: Year 12
Criteria:
- GCSE or predicted GCSE results (or equivalent qualifications) - 5 subjects Grade 6 or above (internal applicants), 5 subjects Grade 7 or above (external applicants)
- Video outlining the ability to lead and develop innovative initiatives
- Certification in qualifications highlighting lifelong skills (e.g. lifesaving qualifications, public speaking, robotics, coding etc)
Your Scholarship Journey
- In order to be considered for this scholarship, a high school student must display the following characteristics and academic success:
- GPA of 3.5 or better and no grade lower than a B in middle and high school
- All external testing completed at NIS (no online submissions will be considered
- Stellar behavior that consistently exhibits our TORCH values from former school
- Recommendation Letter from a recent administrator of former school
Other items that will be considered are:
- Financial situation of the family
- Number of students from the family who will also be attending NIS
